Remember the Alamo: A Special Invitation at John Wayne Museum & Supply

March 6 marks the anniversary of the fall of the Alamo in 1836 after a 13-day siege that became one of the defining moments in Texas history.
John Wayne spent more than a decade bringing that story to the screen in his epic film The Alamo (1960), which he directed and starred in.
In remembrance of the 13 days of the Alamo, the John Wayne Museum will offer $13 admission this Friday, March 6.
Visitors this weekend can also see special memorabilia from the film, including:
• John Wayne’s well-worn director’s script for The Alamo
• The film’s Academy Award nomination certificate for Best Picture (1960)
Scenes from The Alamo will also be showing on the museum’s big screen throughout the weekend.
If you are visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards this weekend, we invite you to stop in and experience the story, the film, and the legacy.
